Soil chemistry and Environmental biogeochemistry postdoc positions

The Soil Chemistry Group at the
Department of Environmental Systems Science, ETH Zurich, invites applications
for 2 Postdoctoral positions in environmental (bio) geochemistry or soil
chemistry. Research project focuses on the biogeochemical cycles of essential
and potentially toxic trace elements in the environment and their coupling with
major elements such as iron, manganese, carbon, and sulfur. Currently, we focus
on the behavior of chalcophile and/or redox-active elements (e.g., As, Se, Hg,
Cr, Cu, Cd) in wetlands, river floodplains, mining-affected environments, and
rice paddies.

Purdue University opens a Postdoctoral Researcher

The Center for Science of
Information (CSoI) at Purdue University opens a Postdoctoral Researcher, position,
starting immediately. The selected applicant will work with Purdue Profs. W.
Szpankowski and A. Grama on problems in models and methods in data sciences, the
analysis of algorithms and information theory.  Additionally, the applicants
are expected to participate in relevant Center-related activities including
education and research activities.  The appointment will be for a period
of twelve months, renewable by mutual agreement for another year, shorter
periods may also be considered.

Sciences (IMSc) has regular faculty positions with the
designations Fellow, Reader, Professor in the broad areas of
Computational Biology, Theoretical Computer Science, Theoretical Physics
and Mathematics.
