The Postdoctoral Fellowship includes award of Rs. 18,000/- per month for 2 years with a contingency grant of Rs. 30,000/- per annum.

Ph.D. Degree holders who are interested to work in the areas of Language,

Linguistics, or allied disciplines such as anthropology, Sociology, Education,

Archeology, Musicology, Performing Arts, Folklore, Epigraphy, Philosophy, etc. are

eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to those who are working on topics related to Tamil Grammatical and Literary Traditions, Comparative Literature, Comparative Dravidian, Language Typology and Translation with special emphasis to the

classical period.

The candidate should not have exceeded 40 years of age as on 15th July 2011. Age

relaxation will be allowed for OBC candidates (3 years) and SC/ST candidates

(5 years)

The selection of candidates will be made through a written test followed by an interview by a duly constituted committee.

     Completed application forms must be accompanied with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.300/-(Rupees three hundred only) for General candidate and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate towards processing non refundable fee drawn in favour of Director, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow.
