Postdoctoral position in Inorganic/or organometallic chemistry

Highlights:
  1. Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, under the supervision of Dr. Nathaniel Szymczak for an initial period of 12 months with the possibility of renewal.
  2. The project involves the development of new inorganic/organometallic homogeneous catalysts that facilitate transformations relevant to energy recycling and delivery key targets are hydrogen storage and delivery.
  3. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in inorganic or organometallic chemistry, expertise in air-free synthetic methodologies (glove-box and Schlenk line), as well as proficiency in appropriate physical techniques for characterization.
  4. Familiarity and with the following techniques are highly desirable: 1D and 2D homo- and hetero-nuclear NMR spectroscopy, electrochemistry (voltammetry, coulometry), in situ UV-Vis and/or IR spectroscopy, EPR spectroscopy, and a general knowledge of low and high-pressure gas manipulation for reaction chemistry.
