Doctoral position in Business Law at Aarhus University

Highlights:
  1. 5 PhD scholarships will be available from July 1, 2010, or as soon as possible thereafter.
  2. The research theme involves a number of different legal fields, such as contract law, company law, EU- law, environmental law, energy law, climate law, intellectual property law and competition law. The research projects can e.g. revolve around the following areas (see detailed description on http://www.asb.dk/article.aspx?pid=582), but applications with focus on other areas are also welcome: 
    1. Companies reporting and informing on sustainability (CSR)
    2. Sustainable contract relations
    3. Sustainability, industrial property rights and transfer of technology
    4. Sustainability and PPP/PPC
    5. Sustainability, energy and climate
  1. The scholarships are so- called mobility scholarships, which means that applicants with a qualifying exam from Aarhus University cannot apply.

World Peace Fellowship for International Studies in peace by Rotary



Highlights:

  1. The Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution program supports the mission of The Rotary Foundation to further world understanding and peace.
  2. The purpose of the Rotary Centers program is to • Support and advance research, teaching, publication, and practical field experience on issues of peace, goodwill, causes of conflict, and world understanding • Inspire people to work for a culture of peace and tolerance while enhancing their capacity, knowledge, and skill by generating interaction between practitioners and academics • Provide advanced international education opportunities in the area of peace and conflict resolution • Provide a means for The Rotary Foundation and Rotarians to increase their effectiveness in promoting greater tolerance and cooperation among peoples, leading to world understanding and peace Candidates should consider these objectives carefully before applying and should be prepared to explain in their written statement and interviews how they would support these program objectives. In particular, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to community or international humanitarian service, and working for peace.
  3. Applicants can choose from either the master’s degree or the professional development certificate program. Candidates will not be considered for both programs.
