Highlights:
1. ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences, Castelldefels (Barcelona), devoted to the research and education of the optical and photonic sciences, at the highest international level.
2. ICFO is looking for a highly-motivated post-doctoral researcher for Prof. Gerasimos Konstantatos' newly established research group within ICFO's Nanophotonics research area, to develop novel colloidal nanocrystalline materials for low-cost high efficiency solar cells. The researcher will explore synthetic approaches for non-toxic, high abundance and low cost colloidal materials using organometallic synthesis.
3. The researcher should have experience in organometallic synthesis of nanocrystals, wet (inorganic and organic) chemistry, inert atmosphere processing (Schlenk line) and material characterization (XRD, FTIR, TEM).
4. The project will be conducted by an interdisciplinary team of chemists and engineers within ICFO to develop and characterize novel low-cost photovoltaic devices.

6. Eligibility and Conditions
Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized PhD-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the near future) in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering or material science.
7. No restrictions of citizenship apply to the ICFO post-doctoral contracts.
8. The position is available for up to 3 years.
